Ghosting happens all the time in the dating world.
Let’s say you’re dating a dude, things are going well and you can’t wait to take things to the next level. Suddenly, crickets – he’s ghosted you!
You did nothing wrong… he just went AWOL.
Then one day after months or years of silence, he appears out of the blue trying to explain why he stopped communicating.
You’d likely be tempted to get closure or find out why he ghosted you. Here’s why you should never give into that temptation.
Handle a ghoster by practicing self-love and self-respect
Never accept a man back after he’s ghosted you – Let him stay gone.
According to TikToker Amelia, the more mysterious the circumstances surrounding the ghosting are, the more likely you are to want explanation and closure.
In her words, “They’ll ghost you, they’ll spend some time with another girl, or do whatever they want to do.
“And their way to get back is when they come back to you and be like, hey, I want to explain what happened six months ago.
“[He’ll say] ‘Hey, I want to explain. Hey, I feel like I left things on really bad terms and I want to talk.’”
He knows you want answers and he will try to capitalize on your need for closure and explanations as a way of getting you back after things probably didn’t work out between him and another girl.

So, it doesn’t matter the circumstances or what the explanation is – if a man ghosts you, let him stay gone forever.
You don’t need an explanation or closure from him. Don’t accept any of his excuses and cut all contact with him.
And remember, you deserve better. Have you ever been ghosted by a man before – how did you handle it?
