How many people go out of their way to celebrate the Fourth of July every year? This is a holiday people spend eating hotdogs, admiring fireworks, and hanging out with their loved ones.
Since African-Americans weren’t technically free on the first-ever Fourth of July, many people have chosen to opt out of Fourth of July celebrations to honor Juneteenth instead.

According to Statista, Americans don’t really care much about Fourth of July.
When it comes to the top 10 most popular holidays in America, Fourth of July doesn’t even rank.
The most popular holiday is Thanksgiving followed by Memorial Day and Christmas. In fourth place you’ll find Veterans Day and in fifth place, you’ll find Mother’s Day.
Father’s Day follows in sixth place followed by Easter and Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Labor Day comes in ninth place with Halloween closing things out in 10th place.
Other holidays mentioned by Statista include New Year’s Eve, St. Patrick’s Day, Hanukkah, Valentine’s Day, and April Fools Day.
