The relationship drama between Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater has had people talking for months now.
While there are definitely people who have forgiven, forgotten, and moved on from all the shenanigans, others aren’t so quick to sweep things under the rug.
Ariana took time to speak about her relationship with Ethan on a recent podcast, and the responses she received from her fans have been a mixed bag.
Some people don’t feel like Ariana said enough to shut down the extramarital affairs narrative.
Others feel like she shouldn’t continue defending her relationship with Ethan and people should simply be happy for her because she’s young and in love.
Ariana made it clear that she feels totally misunderstood regarding her love story with Ethan.
She said, “Of course there’s like an insatiable frustration. An inexplicably hellish feeling watching people misunderstand the people you love.“
One fan responded by saying, “She said a whole lot of nothing. What could the public possibly have misunderstood? We all watched in real time this crusty man leaving his family for this woman, and it’s not even the first time. She is a home wrecker and he was a weak man.”
Someone else added, “Not only did none of us misunderstand the situation, but it’s also hilarious to me that she has, once again, changed her entire affect, way of speaking, and style to appear as though she’s sophisticated, mature, and trustworthy. When she’s none of those things.”
Other fans are more willing to be defensive of Ariana at this time, though. Not everyone feels like she is someone to be angry at.
One avid Ariana supporter wrote, “I’m sure this will be unpopular but I ask that you hear me out. Cheating is bad and home wrecking is bad, but so is blindly believing tabloids. When did we decide that suddenly tabloids are credible sources? Like, when did everyone get brain rot?”
Another added, “It’s insane to me that people assume they know everything that happened between Ariana and Ethan behind closed doors. No one knows the real timeline. People are just assuming things and turning it into a hot mess of drama.”
As of now, it seems that Ariana wants to focus on her professional career more than anything else.
She’s sick and tired of people constantly making comments about her personal life when she’s a musician and an actress with interesting projects to focus on.
For one, she is playing the role of Glinda the Good Witch in Wicked.
She also released an album called Eternal Sunshine full of pop songs for her fans to listen to.
