Fans of Sabrina Carpenter are curious to know if Barry Keoghan actually acts like the character he portrayed in the “Please Please Please“ music video.
When Sabrina first released the music video, it turned into an overnight success. Millions of people tuned in after seeing that she invited her real-life boyfriend to film the music video by her side.
In the music video, Barry plays a troublemaking criminal who isn’t scared to push every boundary, break the law, and get into loads of trouble.
Is Barry truly reminiscent of that edgy character in the real world?
Sabrina‘s fans are weighing in.
One social media user asked, “Does Barry actually have a reputation as a troublemaker or is it just a fictionalization of their relationship? I think he’s a fantastic actor, but I don’t really know him outside of his roles. I know he is Irish, so I understood that reference to the culture. But has he actually gotten in any trouble in the past that I’m just not aware of?”
Someone else responded by saying, “Yeah, he does have quite the reputation.”
Another fan wrote, “Not sure, but Sabrina seems like she likes to have fun with her music videos, so it is likely just Barry taking on another acting role with the video. That’s probably not really how he really acts in real life.”
Someone else responded by saying, “Barry’s older than Sabrina, and he just broke up with the mother of his child so some people don’t like him.”
A separate fan clapped back in response of very writing, “Yeah, we don’t know what happened, and probably will never know what his life is really like. One of my best friends is in a great relationship with a guy who has several kids from a previous marriage, so sometimes people have kids with the wrong person and it takes them a while to find the right person for them. I’m certainly not judging Barry too much for this one aspect of his life.”
Since fans of Sabrina and Barry have never been able to hang out with them behind closed doors, no one knows what his real personality is like when they’re in private.
We do know that he’s a talented actor who can easily take on various roles, including the exaggerated criminal role he handled in the “Please Please Please” music video.
