Is there really such a thing as over-giving?
Are you overextending yourself to the point of exhaustion, burnout, and resentment?
We believe that your reason behind giving might play a huge role in your capacity of giving.
Some of us grew up in religious settings that really encouraged giving, or with parents who set a wonderful example, or we became adults who give from a place of gratitude and kindness.
But is there such a thing as doing too much?

Signs that you are over giving
Generosity is a beautiful way to give gratitude to the universe or your creator but when you start to feel these things, there’s a slight problem:
- When giving feels like an obligation, like a chore that you must tick off.
- When you start feeling some sort of resentment or emotional exhaustion from acts of generosity.
- When you say yes to things you desperately want to say no to.
- When you give at the expense of your well-being.
Balancing giving and your wellness
Giving is really important for most of us but you can’t pour from an empty cup, right?
- Learn to set boundaries by saying no when you don’t want to.
- Show yourself kindness when you feel guilty for setting boundaries, and remind yourself that it’s okay to put yourself first.
- Go inwards by practicing self-gratitude, start to celebrate your accomplishments too.
Give by all means but give with intention.
