• Howard University, Washington D.C. ranks as America’s most beautiful university with over 600,000 total hashtagged posts under the official university hashtag across TikTok and Instagram.
• Harvard University comes second with 410,000 combined hashtags on TikTok and Instagram, and University of Washington takes third place with 387,000 hashtags.
• Other universities in the top twenty include Boston University, University of Florida and Virginia Tech.

A new study has revealed that Howard University is the most picturesque university in America.

Research assistant tool, Anara analyzed how many times the top-ranked American universities have been hashtagged in public posts on Instagram and TikTok, combining both results to provide a ranking of the most ‘beautiful’ universities. Only the official university hashtag was counted to ensure a fairer assessment.

Howard University ranked at the top of the list with a total of 600,097 public hashtag posts across Instagram and TikTok. The university dominates TikTok with 539,502 posts, while also having 60,595 Instagram posts featuring the official hashtag on it. 

Harvard University comes in second place with a total of 410,475 hashtagged posts across Instagram and TikTok. The Ivy League university has a large presence on both platforms, with 368,050 TikTok posts and 42,425 Instagram posts. 

University of Washington takes third place with 386,754 hashtagged posts. The Seattle-based university has 369,521 posts on TikTok alone.

University of Florida ranked fourth in the list with a total of 360,115 public hashtagged posts across both platforms. The University of Florida has 334,712 TikTok posts and 25,403 Instagram posts.

Boston University rounds out the top five with 346,006 combined posts, with 320,702 TikTok posts and 25,304 Instagram posts.

Other universities that made the top ten include Virginia Tech, Cornell University, Temple University, Duke University, and Brown University.
