Colorado is known for having some of the most spectacular and amazing views in the world. Every year, millions flock to The Centennial State for world-class skiing and picturesque hiking.

The beautiful state has something for everyone to see. If you’re planning a trip to Colorado, here are the top five places you need to visit.

The first-ever Chipotle

That’s right. The sensation that is Chipotle first started in a small restaurant right across from the University of Denver. While most Chipotle branches are incredibly spacious and relaxing to be at, the first one is still about one-third of the size of usual Chipotle locations.

Don’t worry though! The food tastes just as good, or even better, depending on who you ask, than your usual Chipotle. Chipotle is easily something you can get anywhere you go in the United States, but it’s cool to say you dined at the one that started it all.

The Stanley Hotel

Have you ever heard of The Shining by Stephen King? Well, if you’re a horror fan or spooky fanatic, then The Stanley Hotel is the place for you to be. On vacation at the Estes Park, Colorado hotel, Stephen was inspired by his stay to write his famous novel.

The hotel is known for being haunted and giving those who dare to stay the creeps. While this isn’t quite where the movie was filmed, the hotel uses its’ claim to fame well and runs the movie 24/7 on one of the channels. Not to mention that the scenery around the hotel is second to none.

Four Corners National Park

The only place in the United States that has four different states touching includes Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico. The park is quite a ways away from Denver, so you will probably have to make a day out of it, but the drive down is stunning with views.

When you get there, there are many different shops that you can go around. The exact point where all four states meet is shown on a very nice plaque on the ground that you can step on.

One of the most popular things to do at that plaque is a pushup, where you have one arm and one leg in each state. This means you’re doing a pushup in four states at one time.

Aspen

Want to live like a Kardashian? A president? Pretty much any famous person ever to live? Then Aspen, Colorado is the place for you. From the beautiful scenery to the cute mountain town vibes that downtown Aspen gives, Aspen is a place for everyone to experience.

The mountain is known for having some of the best snow for skiers and snowboarders. There are also multiple spas that you can take yourself to and relax at during the day and feel like a celebrity. Either way, make sure to add Aspen to your list of places to visit while in Colorado.

Red Rocks Amphitheater

Arguably the most famous concert venue in the United States, Red Rocks is known for having beautiful concerts and amazing views all in one.

Musicians all around have referred to Red Rocks as their favorite venue to perform at. Even if you aren’t wanting to pay for a concert, there is so much more to do at Red Rocks.

Locals love going to work out at Red Rocks by running up and down the stairs. There’s also “Yoga on the Rocks,” which is when you can do yoga at the venue.
