Ariana Grande is set to grace fans with her seventh studio album, “Eternal Sunshine,” slated for release on March 8, 2024.
This marks a highly anticipated return, with Ariana’s last full-length release, “Positions,” dating back over three years.
The superstar he’s been focusing on her role as Glinda the Good Witch in the upcoming Wicked movies.
But the SAG-AFTRA strike did mean she got a little break to focus on her music.
This year, she found time to jump on a remix of The Weeknd’s “Die for You.” But of course, fans are hungry for a new album.
Ariana dropped the album’s lead single
The lead single, “Yes, And?,” dropped on January 7, is a dynamic house-inspired dance anthem, that has already made its mark by soaring to no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The album’s cover art unveils a captivating and enigmatic close-up of Ariana’s face.
With her signature black eyeliner, bold red lip, and a subtle gold earring, the image hints at the allure and mystique awaiting listeners within the realms of “Eternal Sunshine.”
In a December 27 Instagram post, she shared a carousel of images and videos, offering glimpses into her time in the recording studio, emotional moments, and care packages from her R.E.M. Beauty brand.
The cryptic caption, “see you next year ♡,” sparked excitement and anticipation among fans.
Throughout her teasers, the number seven subtly emerges, leaving fans speculating on its significance within the context of “Eternal Sunshine.”
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
The album ‘Eternal Sunshine’, is in honor of one of her favorite movies Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind starring her ‘first crush’ Jim Carrey.
The film also happened to be her late ex-boyfriend Mac Miller’s favorite movie.
The “Dangerous Woman” artist worked closely with producer and composer Max Martin for this album.
He’s credited on many of her hit songs including “God is a Woman,” “Side to Side,” and “No Tears Left to Cry”.
Ariana confirmed through an Instagram comment that we shouldn’t expect any audio previews of her next era. “no snippets this time 🙂 i love you,” she wrote.
With “Eternal Sunshine,” Ariana Grande’s return promises not just a musical experience but a reaffirmation of her enduring influence and artistry in the ever-evolving landscape of pop music.
